Position Description

Yamaha Unified Communications is looking for a detailed and talented individual to manage our marketing programs and communications activities programs for key Strategic Partners including but not limited to Zoom, Microsoft, Bluejeans, Cisco, LogMeIn and others.  The position will report to the VP of Business Development. In this position it is critical to build marketing awareness and product placement at events, and create social media, public relations and certification programs with key partners. The ability to understand the collaboration eco-system and competitive products/solutions from each partner is critical to ensure that we have the best strategy for account penetration and selling solutions offerings.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure that product placement is done at strategic partner demos rooms, shows, and events
  • Development and implementation of a new Strategic Partner program
  • Ensure social media campaigns include mention of Yamaha and the strategic partner
  • Blogging about partner solutions
  • Press and media coverage about strategic partner bundles and relationships, where appropriate
  • Ensure CEO executive meetings take place with Yamaha executives and C-Level executives
  • Certification and testing programs with strategic partners
  • API and bundle solutions with strategic partners using HID and API’s

We are looking for a candidate that possesses strong project management skills and will take initiative, coordinate the activities of others and manage to strict deadlines. A successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at the same time. The requirements for this position include some marketing experience in the B2B industry.
The ideal candidate will have experience or expertise in several of the following areas:
  • 5 – 10 years marketing experience
  • Industry experience in unified communications and collaboration, software or hardware or both
  • Verbal and written communication proficiency required
  • Strong project management and execution skills
  • Proof-reading and editing skills
  • Working proficiency with full MS Office Professional suite required
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM software a plus
  • Understanding of lead generation programs with experience creating and implementing campaigns
  • Understanding of Event lifecycle, from pre-event marketing, logistics and vendor management, to onsite coordination/execution and post-show evaluation
  • Exhibit strong project leadership and exercise good judgment
  • Excellent planning and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Open to occasional travel
  • BA/BS or equivalent education
